Well, we had an exciting week. We were in other cities for a lot of it, but we were still able to have a good week and get some great work done.
We had a zone day in Debrecen, which was a lot of fun. We spent a lot of time playing games like missionary tag (everyone stands in companionships, and then one person chases someone. The person being chased stands next to a companionship and the person on the other end of the companionship becomes the new person being chased) and kickball. It was great to be outside all day and run around, but I was really sore for a few days. We also watched "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty", which was fun. All around it was a great day.
After that we had exchanges with the Debrecen elders. I was with Elder Baer, who's a new missionary. We had a fun time working together. We visited an Englishman named Ken who's a really nice person. He's been living in Hungary/Romania for a long time now and he tries to help people around him (he's adopted a bunch of orphans, given clothes to homeless people, etc). It was great to meet with him. We also went "chalking" as a part of the exchange, we drew the Plan of Salvation on the ground and then talked to people about it. It was a lot of fun, I've never done that before. I've got some pictures, but they aren't the greatest.
We also had exchanges in Nyíregyháza, which was fun. I worked with Elder Garrett. I went on exchanges with him over a year ago, and it was fun to see how much we've both changed an improved in the last year.
Other than that, we had a great time working and meeting with people here. Now that the Naárék and János have been baptized, we're reteaching the lessons, and Brother Naár got the Aaronic Priesthood yesterday. We're working on finding some new investigators to teach. We've lost contact with some of our most promising investigators, so now we're looking for new people to teach.
Recently I started reading the Book of Mormon again in my personal study, and I've been amazed at how well things apply to my current situation, even though I'm just reading a few chapters a day. It's great to see that if we liken the scriptures to ourselves, we can grow a lot as a result of our scripture study.
Szeretettel,
