2018. február 5

Sziasztok!

Some fun things happened this week. There was this "Miskolci Farsang" market going on for the last few days, which was a lot of fun. There were a ton of people on the streets and a lot of little shops. Elder Durney and I found some Ocarinas, and I bought one that is almost the same color as the Ocarina of Time. It's been fun to practice playing. We found some other cool things which was a lot of fun.

We had exchanges with the elders from Nyíregyháza, which was a lot of fun because I got to serve with Elder Pulsipher again. It's been almost a year since we were together in Szolnok, and a lot of fun stuff has happened in that time. It was great to see him and work with him. We had a fun lesson with a new investigator, Attila. He's a nice older gentleman, he's not religious, but he's willing to meet with us. We had a good conversation about why we believe in God. He thinks that people believe because they connect the good things that happen to them with God, and he doesn't really associate the good with anything. We talked a lot about how we came to know the God is real and that he loves us.
Other than that we had some fun times.

We had zone conference on Thursday, and it went pretty well. It ended up being a pretty long meeting, so we didn't have time to do much else that day.

We visited the Naár family twice this week. They are super fun, and they came to church again and stayed for all three hours. They have progressed so much. The other elders were talking to them after church, and elder Cushing told us that they used to be super busy before they meet with us, but since then they've been spending more time resting and having fun as a family. They even cook most of their food on Saturday so that they won't have to do it on Sunday. They are such an awesome family. We've been focusing on getting all of them to read and pray, and they've been doing it. It's so great to see the impact the gospel has on them.

We also met with Géza. He came to church and afterwards we met with him and talked about baptism. He doesn't feel ready yet, but we think that he'll get baptized, now it's just a matter of time.
We have been blessed with some really amazing investigators, and it's been so great to work with them.

I just want to share my testimony that God lives and that He takes care of us. I've seen a lot of people make changes in their lives to accept the gospel, and I've been able to tell how much it has helped them. It's been a privilege to help people come closer to Christ. I love being a missionary and that I can spend all day talking with people about God. This really is the greatest work.

Szeretettel,
Terry elder
